Newspapers: The number of tourists visiting Morocco has risen to 12 million.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, Traditional Industry, Social Economy, and Solidarity, the number of visitors to Morocco was 12.3 million in October, an increase of 39 percent over the same month in 2022.
The ministry said in a statement that the increase proves the “stability of Moroccan tourism despite the challenges,” noting that October’s arrival of 1.2 million tourists, a 3% increase from October 2022, continued the upward trend set in September.
According to the same source, Fatima Zahra Amor, Minister of Tourism, Traditional Industry, Social Economy, and Solidarity, boasted, “We have surpassed the 12 million visitor mark in 2023, despite the challenges we faced after the earthquake in Al Haouz.” This success motivates us to keep working to increase awareness of our destination and broaden our tourist-export markets.
The minister went on, “We are on the right track towards a record year by reaching 14 million tourists,” and he urged everyone involved in the industry to keep things going smoothly through November and December.
