Itinerary of 7 Days tour from Fes to Marrakech

Begin your day with breakfast in your riad before exploring Fes, also known as the "Spiritual City of Morocco." Spend the morning delving into the Medina and visiting cultural and historical landmarks such as the Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. After lunch, we will venture outside the Medina to see the Royal Palace gate, stroll through the Jewish quarter known as the Mellah, and visit the pottery cooperative. In the afternoon, head to one of the fortresses to experience breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Medina of Fes. End the day with an authentic riad experience in the heart of the old Medina. Overnight accommodation is included.

Begin your day with breakfast before departing from Fes towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is in the charming town of Ifrane, also known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," for its weather, architecture, and historical significance. After a short break to explore, we'll continue on to the largest cedar forest in Morocco, located beside the beautiful town of Azrou, where you'll have the chance to see Barbary Monkeys living in the wild. From there, we'll drive through the mountains, passing by many Berber villages like Timhdit, Zaida, and Medilt. Continuing further south, we'll cross the High Atlas mountains until we reach Errachidia, where the Valley of palm trees appears and creates an oasis of greenery ideal for growing fruit trees and vegetables in its microclimate. Our journey will then take us to Erfoud, the capital of fossils, which are abundant and testify to a past covered by the sea. From here, the asphalt road disappears and we'll traverse Saharan tracks of adobe until we reach the village of Merzouga, the main town in the Sahara Desert. Overnight accommodation is included at a hotel near the dunes, with dinner and breakfast provided.

Embark on an exciting day exploring Erg Chebbi in depth. We will visit the town of Khamlia, discover small villages and inhabited houses in unexpected places far from civilization, and visit nomads who are happy to share their lifestyle with visitors. Our journey continues to an old mine located near the borders between Morocco and Algeria, discovered by the French many years ago. Afterward, we'll return to town and enjoy a typical lunch of the area called "Berber Pizza." Following lunch, you'll experience a once-in-a-lifetime adventure on a camel trek. Friendly camels guided by an experienced man will take you up and down sand dunes with various stops to capture the landscape and the stunning sunset. After trekking for around 1.5 hours, we'll arrive at the camp located in the heart of the desert where you'll enjoy dinner and Berber music played by locals under the starry sky. In the morning, you'll wake up early to admire the breathtaking view of the sunrise before riding your camel back to the hotel, where you'll have breakfast and the chance to take a shower.

After breakfast, the tour departs towards Rissani, the old center of Sijilmassa and the hub of ancient caravans from Toumboukto to Marrakech. We will explore the biggest market of the region before continuing through a semi-desert landscape to reach the oasis of Tinghir, one of the most beautiful places in Morocco. From there, we will head to the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges with 300m, which is an attractive place for climbers. After lunch, we will continue the journey to the impressive valley of Dades and the city of Roses, where the real flower grows called Damskina. If interested, we will make a short break to visit a cooperative and see how different products are extracted from Roses. We will then drive through the famous "Road of Thousand Kasbahs" to reach the city of Ouarzazate, known for its intense and cinematic activity, including films like Gladiator, Troy, and The Mummy, made in a big studio called Atlas Corporation Studios. We will visit the studio before spending the night at a hotel with dinner and breakfast.

We will start the day with breakfast, then set out on the road to Ait Ben Haddou, which is known as the queen of kasbahs and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will explore the kasbah and take a walk around. Later on, we will visit the Kasbah of Telouet, which was once the ancient palace of Pacha of Marrakech. It is a wonderful track to experience and explore. Our journey continues through the highest pass in Morocco - Tzin Tichca (2,260 m) where we will take breaks for panoramic views and have lunch before we reach the imperial city of Marrakech. We will spend the night in a riad.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will embark on a full-day guided tour of Marrakech. This city, known as "the red city" for its vibrant walls, is filled with stunning gardens that are irrigated by underground wells called khettaras. These wells were constructed by the Almoravids and nomads from the Sahara in the 11th century. During our tour, we will visit some of the most significant landmarks of the city, including Menara, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, Majorelle Gardens, and the bustling souks. One of the highlights of the day will be exploring the lively Djemaa El Fna square, where you can witness the vibrant pulse of the city as dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artisans, merchants, and snake charmers perform. You will have free time to explore these sites at your leisure before returning to our riad for overnight accommodations.

You will have some free time until it's time to depart for the airport, where we will drop you off for your flight. This will mark the end of our tour.
