Itinerary of 8 Days tour from Fes to Marrakech

When you arrive in Fes, our professional staff will make sure you have a comfortable arrival by arranging for a quick airport pickup. Getting you from the airport to your hotel of choice is our first concern, therefore we handle all the arrangements so you don't have to. Let us take care of the logistics so you can relax and enjoy the first few days of your Fes experience. We'll ensure that you are comfortable and arrange for transportation according to your schedule, so you can concentrate on seeing the city.

Once you've finished breakfast at your riad, a local guide will take you on a tour of Fes, often referred to as "the Spiritual City of Morocco". Your morning will be spent exploring the Medina and its many cultural and historical landmarks, such as the renowned Al Karaouine Mosque and University (which happens to be the oldest in the world), the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. Following lunch, we'll venture outside of the Medina to catch a glimpse of the Royal Palace gate and walk through the Jewish quarter, known as "the Mellah", before visiting the pottery cooperative. In the afternoon, we'll make our way to one of the fortresses where you can take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Fes Medina. You will spend the night in the same riad.

Following breakfast, we will depart Fes and head towards the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains. On our way, we'll make a stop in the picturesque town of Ifrane, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco" due to its lovely weather, architecture, and rich history. We'll take a brief break here to walk around before continuing on to the largest cedar forest in Morocco, located near the beautiful town of Azrou, where you'll have the opportunity to see Barbary Monkeys living in their natural habitat. We'll then proceed to drive through the mountains, passing by several Berber villages such as Timhdit, Zaida, and Medilt. Our tour will take us further south across the High Atlas Mountains until we arrive in Errachidia, where the Valley of palm trees will come into view. This area provides an oasis of greenery ideal for cultivating various types of fruit trees and vegetables in its microclimate. We will then drive onwards until we reach Erfoud, known as the capital of Fossils, where a plethora of fossils can be found, bearing testimony to the area's past that was once covered by the sea. From here, the asphalt road disappears and the Saharan tracks become visible, leading us to the village of Merzouga, which is the main town located in the Sahara Desert. You'll spend the night in a hotel located close to the dunes, where dinner and breakfast will be provided.

This exciting day will be spent delving deeper into the wonders of Erg Chebbi. Our first stop will be the town of Khamlia, followed by a visit to small villages and remote homes in unexpected locations far from civilization. Additionally, we will meet with nomads who are eager to share their unique lifestyle with visitors. Our journey continues to an old mine that was discovered by the French many years ago and is situated close to the border between Morocco and Algeria. Afterward, we will return to the town for a typical lunch of the region called "Berber Pizza". In the afternoon, you'll embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience by camel trekking. The friendly camels will be guided by an experienced man as you go up and down on the sand, with different stops along the way to take pictures of the stunning landscapes and watch the amazing sunset. After walking for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, you'll arrive at a camp located in the heart of the desert where dinner will be served, accompanied by Berber music played by local musicians under a starry sky. The next morning, you'll wake up early to witness the breathtaking view of the sunrise before heading back to the hotel by camel to enjoy breakfast and take a refreshing shower.

After breakfast we departure to Rissani; old Sijilmassa center of ancient caravans from Toumboukto to Marrakech as center market of Salt. After walking around the biggest market of the region we continue our trip through a semi-desert landscape till we reach the oasis of Tinghir, one of the wonderful places in Morocco .Then we get to Todra gorges highest and narrowest gorges with 300m which considered an attractive place for climbers. After having lunch, we continue the way until another impressive valley of Dades and to the city of Roses; the area where the real flower grows called Damskina, short break if you are interested to see how they abstract different products from Roses in one of the cooperatives there. Then, we drive through a famous road known as” road of thousand Kasbahs” , to reach one of the most important cities of southern Morocco Ouarzazate, known for its intense and cinematic activity, having to his credit films like Gladiator, Troy, the Mummy etc made in a big studio Called Atlas Corporation Studios, you can have a visit after we get to the hotel where we will spend the night with dinner and breakfast.

After having breakfast, we set off on a trip to Ait Ben Haddou, which is regarded as the queen of kasbahs and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, we will explore the area on foot. Afterwards, we will visit Kasbah  Telouet, which is one of the most beautiful tracks in Morocco and also known as the ancient Glagui's palace Pacha of Marrakech. We then continue our journey through the Tzin Tichka, the highest mountain pass in Morocco with an altitude of 2,260 meters. During this part of the journey, we will take a break for panoramic views and have lunch before finally arriving at the imperial city of Marrakech. We will spend the night in a riad.
