Brief Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

You will be welcomed at the airport in Marrakech, then we’ll transfer you to your riad, situated in the heart of the old medina. Overnight at the riad.

  • Day 2: Exploring Marrakech with Local Guide

After breakfast in your riad, you will start exploring Marrakech, also known as “the Moroccan red city.” Our local tour guide will ensure that you discover the most important historical and cultural attractions, including the Saadian Tombs, El Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, and Ben Youssef Coranic School. In the afternoon, you will continue to explore the Majorelle and Menara gardens, as well as the Koutoubia Tower. Overnight at the riad.

  • Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

After breakfast at the riad, we will drive to Dades Gorges, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and ‘Tizi N’tichka’ pass, the highest road pass in Morocco at 2260m altitude, with stops at various panoramic viewpoints for pictures. Then, visit the beautiful 16th-century Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-recognized site, where we will stay for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, continue to Ouarzazate (known as ‘The African Hollywood’) to visit the Atlas Studios of cinema and Taourirt Kasbah. We will then move on to the Roses Valley and travel through the Way of 1000 Kasbahs. Overnight and dinner at Dades Valley, in the upper Gorges.

  • Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Sahara Desert

After breakfast, we will drive to Todra Gorges (the Grand Moroccan Canyon), famous for rock climbing with its rock walls that rise to 300 meters in a narrow section. Here, you will have the chance to walk and experience the natural beauty of green agricultural lands and a wide river. We will continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossilized marbles, where you will have the opportunity to visit a workshop that produces marble fossils. We will arrive in Merzouga in the evening, where you will be welcomed with a cup of tea and provided with a room to prepare for an excellent night in the nomad desert camp. You will have about a 50-minute camel ride to cross the highest sand dunes in North Africa while enjoying the sunset. On arrival at the bivouac, you will have a private tent equipped with mattresses, blankets, cushions, and toilets. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, followed by traditional Berber music performed around the campfire under a starry sky.

  • Day 5: Sahara Desert – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the view of the sunrise. After a hearty Moroccan breakfast and shower, we will leave for Ziz Valley, where we will stop for you to admire a wonderful panoramic view of the Ziz palm oasis and Ziz gorges. Lunch will be in Midelt, then we will continue to Azrou by crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains with its cedar forest, where we will find wild monkeys waiting for you to feed them. Before arriving in Fes, we will stop for a while to rest in Ifrane, a European-style town also called the ‘Switzerland of Morocco.’ In the evening, we will arrive in Fes, and you will stay overnight at the riad.

  • Day 6: Exploring Fes with Local Guide

After breakfast in your riad, you will move to start exploring the Fes Medina (founded in the 8th century by Moulay Driss II) with a local tour guide. Among the interesting parts you will visit are the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter (built in the 16th century and considered the first Mellah in Morocco), the world’s oldest university Al Qarawiyin, the Tanneries, and the Moulay Driss Mausoleum. We will also use a vehicle to enjoy the panoramic views upon the Medina. Overnight at the riad.

  • Day 7: Fes – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, our driver will pick you up from your accommodation and drive to Chefchaouen (the blue city), one of Morocco’s popular tourist attractions situated in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. This charming blue city is known for its traditional buildings. Enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue-washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. Overnight at the riad.

  • Day 8: Chefchaouen – Transfer to Tangier Airport

After breakfast, we will pick you up from the riad to explore the charming city of Chefchaouen, known for its whitewashed walls and blue doors and windows. Unlike many parts of Morocco, this city was occupied by Spain, and the influence of Spanish civilization and architecture can be seen throughout. Then we will transfer you directly to Tangier, dropping you off at your hotel, airport, or port. End of our services.
