Bloomberg and CNN Names Morocco One of the Top 24 Tourist Destinations for 2024
Morocco has received comparable distinction from a number of prestigious journals, including Lonely Planet, which highlighted the country’s tourist value in a recent issue.
Travelers, well-known magazines, companies that provide travel services, and websites continue to be impressed with Morocco’s tourist advantages. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that Bloomberg has included the North African nation as one of its top 24 places to visit for the year 2024.
In spite of the deadly earthquake that devastated Morocco on September 8, the news source said that the country continues to draw millions of visitors from all over the globe year after year.
According to a report that was published by Bloomberg today, Morocco had a record year in 2023, accommodating over 14 million tourists, which is one million higher than the number of tourists who visited in 2019.
The growth was ascribed to the efforts made by Morocco’s tourist officials, “who have encouraged people to explore the country beyond Marrakech,” according to the organization that reported on the news.
There is a set of appealing locations that Bloomberg mentioned, one of which being the northern region of Morocco.
The magazine said that “on Morocco’s northern trip, several stylish boutique hotels are creating a scene away from Tanier’s coastal megaresorts.” The magazine also mentioned that Yves Saint Laurent’s erstwhile hideaway, Villa Mabrouka, is now a hotel with twelve rooms.
In addition to Marrakech, which is home to a number of hotels that are beautiful and locations to visit, the newspaper recommended Rabat as one of the sites that should be on their list of must-see destinations.
The publication included a number of recommendations on places to stay in Marrakech, one of which was the Noby Hotel, which is owned by the famous actor Robert De Niro.
Morocco has been included on a number of other lists as one of the best places to visit in 2024, and this will not be the only one.
Morocco was also included on the list of the finest tourist locations that Lonely Planet recommends for the year 2024.
In a short explanation of tourism in Morocco, the website said that “there is nothing quite like wandering the Sahara Desert on camelback, hunting for bargains in a Marrakech souk, and exploring the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen.” These are just few of the reasons why Morocco is a popular tourist destination.
A number of Moroccan locations have also gained slots on the list of must-visit sites for the year 2024.
Notably, among the top 24 places to visit in 2024, Airbnb included Marrakech as the sole African city on its list of vacation recommendations.
Morocco was also included in CNN‘s list of the top 24 places that visitors absolutely must go to in the year 2024.
“Morocco has rebounded with determination after a devastating earthquake in September of last year,” CNN reported on Monday. “Morocco has long been favorites among travelers due to their diverse landscapes and spectacular architecture,” the news outlet added.
As of the end of November, Morocco’s tourist receipts had reached $9.8 billion, representing a 15.8% rise when compared to the same period of the previous year.
