8-Day Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Tangier to Chefchaouen

On the first day, we will pick you up and travel through the scenic Rif Mountains. Passing through Tetouan, you’ll witness beautiful mountain views. We will arrive in Chefchaouen, a charming village at the foothills of the Rif Mountains. The town’s medina features a Spanish-style plaza surrounded by artisanal shops, eateries, and rooftop cafes. Enjoy lunch here. Spend the night in a traditional riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes (distance: 250 km, approximately 4 hours)

After breakfast at the riad, we will head to Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other beautiful villages in the Rif Mountains. At Volubilis, explore the Roman ruins. Then, continue to Meknes for lunch. Visit the medina walls, Bab Mansour, and the sanctuary of Moulay Ismail. Finally, drive to Fes and stay overnight in a traditional riad.

Day 3: Discovering Fes

After breakfast at your riad, we will take a walking tour of Fes, the oldest city in Morocco. Visit cultural and historical sites like the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish Quarter, and the first Mellah from the 16th century. Highlights include Al-Qarawiyyin University, the tanneries, Attarine Museum, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, admire a panoramic view of the Medina of Fes. End the day at your riad.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Sahara Desert (distance: 470 km, approximately 7 hours)

After breakfast, head to the Sahara Desert via Errachidia and Erfoud. Travel through Tiz Ntalghamt Pass and the Ziz Valley. Enjoy views of the High Atlas plateau, with the landscape transforming into desert tracks as we near Errachidia. Stop to admire the lush Ziz Valley. Arrive at the Sahara Desert for a camel trek during sunset. Spend the night in a desert camp, with dinner and traditional Berber music under the stars.

Day 5: Sahara – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley (distance: 280 km, approximately 5 hours)

Wake up early to see the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. Ride camels back to our guest house for breakfast and a shower. Then, continue through the Saghro Mountains to reach the Todra Gorges, the tallest and narrowest in Morocco. Spend some time exploring on foot. Later, drive to the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech (distance: 330 km, approximately 6 hours)

After breakfast, leave Dades Valley and travel towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. Pass through Dades Valley, also known as the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” with opportunities for stunning photos. Stop at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the largest kasbah in Morocco, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Cross the High Atlas Mountains for scenic views and Berber villages before arriving in Marrakech. Spend the night in a riad in the medina.

Day 7: Visit the City of Marrakech

After breakfast, explore Marrakech, also called the “Red City.” Visit cultural sites such as Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. Enjoy lunch near Djemaa El-Fna square and experience the lively atmosphere. In the afternoon, stroll through the bustling souks and watch craftsmen at work. You’ll have free time to explore more of the city at your own pace.

Day 8: Marrakech – Airport (distance: varies depending on accommodation location, approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour)

On the last day, we will provide transportation from your accommodation to the airport, ensuring a timely arrival for your departure.
