Following breakfast, depart Fes and head towards the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in the picturesque town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” for a brief walk. Continue to the largest cedar forest near Azrou, where you’ll see Barbary Monkeys in their natural habitat. Drive through Berber villages like Timhdit, Zaida, and Midelt before crossing the High Atlas Mountains to reach Errachidia, where the Valley of palm trees provides a beautiful oasis. Visit Erfoud, known for its fossils, then continue on Saharan tracks to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. Overnight at a hotel near the dunes, with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 4: Merzouga Sightseeing

Explore the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes and visit the village of Khamlia (approx. 50 km, 1.5 hours driving). Experience nomadic life, visit an old mine near the Algerian border, and enjoy a traditional “Berber Pizza” for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek to a desert camp. Enjoy dinner, live Berber music, and stargazing under the vast Sahara sky. Overnight in a luxury desert camp.

  • Day 5: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

After breakfast, depart to Rissani, the old center of Sijilmassa and a hub for ancient caravans traveling from Timbuktu to Marrakech. Walk around the region’s biggest market, then continue through the semi-desert landscape to reach Tinghir, an oasis and one of Morocco’s most beautiful places. Arrive at Todra Gorge, known for its towering 300-meter cliffs and a popular spot for climbers. After lunch, journey to the impressive Dades Valley and visit the city of Roses, where you can see how rose products are made. Continue along the famous “Road of Thousand Kasbahs” to Ouarzazate, known for its film studios where movies like Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed. Visit Atlas Corporation Studios before spending the night at a hotel in Ouarzazate.

  • Day 6: Ouarzazate to Marrakech

After having breakfast, set off for Ait Benhaddou, known as the queen of kasbahs and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
