5-Day Sahara Desert Tour (Marrakech to Fes)

We visit the Todra Gorge for a short walk beneath its high walls. We drive toward Merzouga and, in the late afternoon, ride our camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset and settle into the luxury camp.

After watching the sunrise, this day is dedicated to desert immersion. We take a 4×4 tour around the base of the dunes, visiting the village of Khamlia to hear Gnawa music and meeting nomadic Berber families for tea. You can try sandboarding before returning to the camp for a second night.

We depart the desert after breakfast, driving north. We stop for panoramic views of the immense Ziz Valley palm grove. We continue through the Middle Atlas, passing through Midelt, before arriving in the picturesque town of Ifrane for our overnight stay.

We start the day with a visit to the nearby Cedar Forest to see the Barbary Apes. We continue the descent through the mountains, eventually reaching the plains and arriving at the Imperial City of Fes in the afternoon for drop-off.
